New paint & a facelift on my 1100 V-Star

I know I haven't been on the Board for a while, but I thought I would pop in and say hi and let you guys know I'm still alive. 1too many toys & hobbies and not enough time or $ for them all.

I put my boats on the back burner so I could take care of a few things, start rebuilding my firearms collection (just bought a new SKS and a Bersa thunder plus) and get a bunch of stuff squared away on my vstar.

I just got the tins back from the paint shop, put back together and got her back on the road. The tins were taken down to bare metal, the body work was done and everything was sealed up with PPG Deltron dp40 epoxy primer.

the caller is dp400 pearl red with 1.5 pints of blue and silver to give it a 2nd stage purple tint. a dose of white pearl essence and a double dose of candy purple pearl essence was added to it to finish it off and clear coated.

lol... I forgot the name Bersa, .380 Cal.? Nice profile, not a fan of today's polymer framed hand guns, so utterly ugly, where is the line and form??

I am doing alright, had to put my boots on the back burner for a while and concentrate on other things since my X packed up and split. it took me a bit to get out of the hole she intentionally left me in and back on level ground but I'm doing better without her than I ever was with her dumbass.

I've got one too many toys and hobbies and not enough time or money for them also I'm rotating things as usual. I was riding a real nice 02' YZF R, but I let that go and moved into my 1100 and then working on it for the time being. she's come a long way that's for damn sure and she's almost done.

I am NOT a fan of polymer on firearms either Tim. I'm not particularly fond of the collapsible polymer stock on my SKS either but it is convenient at times, especially if I want to put it in a blanket roll and ride to the range. if it wasn't for the convenience factor I'd toss it in the garbage and put a nice blonde Wood stock on it. My Bersa is all steel and dead nuts reliable. it is a 380 or 9mm Kurtz, but with today'sammo it's just as effective as a nice 9mm. I prefer the PMC ball ammo.

now that qualifying at Talladega is over it's time for me to saddle up and go for a ride'

Apple is def hard to get used to. Esp when you're used to a over complicated PC, which Apple has made tasks much simpler. Most people don't understand the easy click and drag features of Apple vs the nonsensical complexities of a PC. Lol

You are too kind and thanks for the gentle words. I am just plain stupid, I realize Apple is much more intuitive, but as you pointed out, my first computer was a PC, just can't relearn. Like riding a cross rigged bike. And I have a ruptured brain...... hahahahaha


BTW, this is my 5000th post!! what a BS artist I have become!

Haha, dude, I hope I didn't come off harsh or anything. It's just funny to see people get on a Mac, then try to use it like a PC.
No need to go to File>move item or anything.
