Fiat 124, is it coming back?

According to AutoBlog and a few others, Fiat has submitted two trademark applications to the US. 124, & 124 Spider. Being a former 124 spider owner (I had eight of them) I would hope so!

Nice ! Captures the essence of the early model but with a rather more muscular look.

      Very cool!!
My first car... Rev'd that engine to high heaven and never failed!
Hated changing that huge starter..in the snow...at night :)
Ball joint broke on a corner, back wheel fell of driving down the road...it actually passed me, top leaked, clutch cable broke, electrical system always did what it wanted.
I still find myself searching Craigslist for one 25 years later
This new one might be just in time for my midlife crisis!!
      This is NOT a toy?!?

My third one, a 1978 after an accident.

My seventh one, another 1978 (Best one of them all)

            My eighth one, a 1982

Sadly, I don't have pictures of them all, and some were merely donor cars

            Edit:
I just found a photo of Five & Six!

My fifth one, a 1977 in primer grey (Donor car)
My sixth one, a 1978 in blue

Pretty much everyone believes the new fiat spyder is based on the new Mazda mx-5. Will hae Italian styling and Japanese reliability, am excited to see what it will look like. Maybe a upgrade from my S2000.
