    New guy in Rough Water

I just relocated (maybe that wasn't my best move) from CA to NY. Bellport now has a nice bay, but it gets choppy. I bought a chase boat, in case of flips...
So, instead of the classic hydros that I really wanted to build, I need recommendations about what fast ~36" mono boats might I want build/buy for my new location. I'm 67 and don't want to swim far if things go awkward..
I might not be a competitive racer but I just want to have fun running boats I can show off and get back to shore.

So what's the best 3 foot mono to handle really choppy water?

You guys have a lot more experience, and I truly appreciate that. I gotta research the local clubs too. Thanks for your recommendations.

It is only 31", but how about a Tenshock Tomahawk, its designed with a stepped hull to go fast on limited power so you get good runtimes, and comes with a flood chamber so you can run in water as rough as you want without fear of flipping it and not getting it back.

With a couple of mods, and some reinforcement this might work for you.
