Help Choosing a Beginner Airbrush Kit

Hey Guys,

I'd sure appreciate your input as I'm in the market for a beginner airbrush kit.
My main reason is to get my son (10 yo) involved in the activity, the side reason is so I can play with it myself and maybe do a few things on boats.

I've done a couple hours of research on the googles and have found that people are all over the place...to the point where I'm pretty lost. I sure hold the input I get here in the highest regards.

I'm hoping to spend around $100 bucks.
Main use will be hot wheels, legos, and rc boats and cars (for starters).
I have a decent upright compressor/regulator/water seperator/filter.
Not sure what other factors are important but before I go buy a Paasche VL set I thought I'd solicit your input.

I hear ya, but there are lots of choices in each range, some are turds and some aren't. I'm not rich enough to blow a boat buck on a POS, so I'm looking for the highest recommended from my trusted pals...any recommendations?

Just stay clear of AZTEK, the plastic nozzles are pain to clean. The airbrushes that survived over the years for me are Iwata (original and HK clone) and Harder & Steenbeck.

I would get the Paasche Talon. A gravity feed will use less paint and lower air pressure which is ideal for small items.

I've had a couple Harbor Freight airbrushes for a while, but I was wanting something hopefully better. I did a bit of research this week, and now I have an Iwata HP-BCS set. on the way for $112 from Amainhobbies. Many people speak highly of Iwata. I already have several bottle adapters and paint cups for a siphon feed, which is why I chose one, but a gravity feed(cup on top) is easier to manipulate inside tight spots.
There are a couple threads on RCTech that were helpful to me.
