Man, I thought we were gonna get thru this like Lindsey Lohan gets thru a bottle of Vodka. I didn't care for either candidate. I think it has been evident over the last four years that the President doesn't wield all the power that we thought he did.
He is little more than a figurehead, the ultimate babysitter. We have a Guy stupid enough to want to deal with over 500 of the lowest lifeforms that have ever infested this planet. In congress, we have more crooks, thieves, pedophiles, adulterers, embezzlers, conspirators, liars, diaper-wearers, etc. under one roof than you do at Folsum Prison. Being President is a thankless job, People expect too much, the media interprets too much, Congress fights too much. People stare at you too much, and everyone complains too much about you.
It's a nightmare. Be happy you have someone dumb enough to take the position.
If the country isn't up to the standard that you want it to be, what are you going to do to help fix it?
A smile and a helping hand are contagious. Or to some of you whiners...it's socialist.

      Dom,

I see where you are coming from... But that helping hand is not always appreciated... Example: Non union workers in NJ. Our country in no longer live and let live and help one's neighbor. It's legislate this and that. Entitlments, etc. Take money from here and there. Big goverment is the current goal, but then it's the excuse when it goes to hell and reality falls between to cracks. And there is not point in quibbling over how you define socialism. The dictionary definition if fine for most.

That's true. Ask the 535 full time jackasses in Washington that are constantly looking for ways to take from you.

Ive lost faith in our "elected" government.

As soon as Im able to retire Im out of this country. Once my kid gets old enough to take care of herself I might go before retirement... As far as Im concerned the sooner the better.

It's an interesting dicotomy. The poor have it figured out, the rich have it figured out, it's the people in the middle that pay for both. Unfortunately, I'm in the middle.

I actually inquired about immigrating to Austrailia about 5 years ago. I hold a job which is in demand "down under". The response I got was one I wish would happen in the USA. The response was that unless I could pay into the social security system for at least 20 years, I was not wanted.

Love him, Hate him, it doesn't matter. I still feel ashamed to live in a society where citizens spend more time researching which. Cellphone to buy than which President to choose.
Remember that when you squeeze the wealthy, it's the working class that feels the pinch.

                          The way I see it...

If it weren't so sad, it would almost be funny. I still see references to the president as being dumb, or an idiot, when nothing could be further from the truth. And I see those that take the words of the bible literally, without using the common sense that God gave them to see why those directions were given. Would you gather your weapons and fight those that disgrace your 'God'? Would you fight your friends and neighbors because the government or your preacher said it was proper? Then you deserve your misery. I believe and hope that we will work toward the common good. Times have changed; everything changes, deal with it and move onward. If you are determined to leave this country, then do it now. There is no need for you to suffer any further, and we don't need you here dissing this (wonderful, glorious, free) country causing even more discontent. Get over it - grow a pair, and move on. Lose the greed and disdain. Care for each other or risk turning this great country into another Iraq/Libya/Samalia. I don't mean to be crass, but sometimes it takes a little shaking up to put things back in perspective. And I think Obama is doing that. He might be ignorant or new at this game, but he is not unintelligent. And he is a great coach and speaker who actually cares about the middle class (of which I presently reside). Dumb to want to be president? I would say that is very brave, considering he's already had a taste of what's to come. Peace.

Just where do you think this country is heading? Certainly not in a direction that will be for the common good. If the president is worth a damn then tell me what he has accomplished in the past four years that was worth while? Obamacare? That's just more government control and more expense for those of us that work and are s useful part of society. For Thor voted for him I am curious to see if they will admit their stupidity when their taxes go up along with the wealthy. I work in the marine industry and I can tell you it's the worse I have seen it since I started in the mid 90s. What's worse is that it is going to get better anytime soon. A local dealer here lost out on 5 big sales because obama was reflected. That's just one example. I am sorry that you are to blind to see that those of us that work won't be able to keep paying for those that just want more handouts

I am neutral. But I have to ask, what real research have you done on Obama's accomplishments? On Bush's? Or Clinton's?
                                Here's a little starter...http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/mag...ents035755.php

Either candidates tax policies would have an increase..http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/03/bu...anted=all&_r=0
Just under Romney's plan, the wealthiest don't get hit as hard.

Obama tax hikes won't affect most of us. Taxing the wealthy's personal gains won't hurt us.
"Oh...(whine, whine) the wealthy create the jobs"
Wrong! Remember, we have a somewhat capitalist system of economics. We create the jobs in our demands for consumer products.
"But the rich buy products that keep us in our jobs" Not just the rich, buddy.
"But if I parrot some TV commentator enough times, It will become true"
I suppose. It worked for Dorothy when she kept saying "There's no place like home"

If you feel strongly enough about something, do your research and present your arguments with supporting documentation so that we too may
understand your thought process and possibly agree with your findings.

Otherwise, go out, play nicely, and try to find ways to make life happier, easier, and safer for us all.
If enough of us did that, we could turn this country around without government intervention.
We tend to follow each other.
