Unfortunately the current SE allocation is sold out. FWIW about two weeks ago I was getting out of my car at a Subway and there at the traffic light was what I now believe was one of the Cafe models. He took off before I could run up to him (probably a good thing) but now I understand that I wasn't just dreaming ! In 1962 I rode a '59 Matchless 650 street/TT. Loved it. In 1967 It was either an XLCH, a Bonnie, or a Commando. I went with the Sporty but now wish I could have the other two to complete the dream.

I'd take the sport version and be perfectly happy with it. I imagine that you need to be a movie star or prof athlete to get one of the SE's here in the states.

I just called Team MCC in IL to see when they might get the Commando sport in stock... waiting for a call back.

No more boats for me for awhile. Every spare penny is going towards the Norton fund.

              Tony,
Thanks for the link. I just got off the phone with Team MCC in IL. There are two people on the list ahead of me for a single seat sport. I was told 3 months delivery time. The single seat sport is going for $16,995.

              Hey Douggie,
I was always told that if there is no oil under them, there is no oil in em.

All the great bikes come with their own drip trays.

That was a great bike and when I was young and very stupid, I challenged a cop on his HD for a drag race....I got the stare back that only cops have and a wag of his finger.

OK, some of you have seen this, but in my never-ending quest for self promotion/aggrandizement, in case anyone missed it, here's a "How-To" vid a friend made for his film class :

Note : if you're in to riddles, answer this question : What's the most personally revealing symbol on the bike ? (your first guess will be wrong)
