Verizon Fios

Anybody have any experience/opinions about the Verizon Fios phone service? We have Verizon home phone now and another company for internet. We can save quite a bit if money every month by switching.

I have had Verizion Fios for a couple of years now for everything and they are great. The other phone/cable/wireless providers in the area are now scrambling to to get back what they lost before deregulation. The cable company (COX) that used to have a monopoly was very poor in service and support. When Fios arrived folks dumped them in droves. I always had land line/cable/ internet probs with cox and not a one with Fios in 2 years. Plus my internet is much faster ... 30.72 mbps download and 23.74 mbps upload (just tested and they offer faster).

Any problems with the battery backup that they use for the phone in case of power outage?
