I clean my nitro engines with Marvel Mystery Oil. It is great for freeing up gummed up engines. I fill up a seized engine with Marvel Mystery Oil for a while. In a short period of time the engine turns over freely. I soak gummed up carbs in the stuff. After running an engine, I shoot oil into the carb and into the spark plug hole. It works great.

If it's varnish you can soak it in antifreeze on low in a crockpot overnight and it will come out like new.

But there are fumes so do it outside and there is a danger to pets and animals because of the sweet taste of antifreeze.
