      The Spitfire was my favoite when I was growing up.

      We had a B17 visit locally a few weeks ago and I missed it.

        mike the good thing about being a terminal controller is they always talk to ya on there way in even vfr so u know when they are comeing......i was suprised at how small the b17 really is compared to todays fighter bombers...forget about a b 1 or 2 nowadays......great pics of the spitfire's jim....

          Several years ago I got to go up in an AT-6 Texan. The pilot let me fly the plane and do some barrel rolls, loops, and buzz the nearby lake.
          Being in one of those planes is quite an experience, there's nothing like taxiing to the runway with the canopy open.

            I've never worked a B-17 Ron. I have worked a few B-25's and have even had the BUD1 airship call me for VFR flight following (like someone is going to miss that thing). LOL The thing that sucks being in the center is all the planes are 200 miles away. All my aiplanes look like this.

              i had the goodyear blimp on a ILS at monroe la once and a local f4u corsair and a p40 flight asked if they could go around using visual seperation.....they buzzed the gondolla on each side...all the blimp could say was....that was kinda close guys lol
