Trying to get a gaming laptop @Ebay

    hi guys

I was thinking of getting a gaming laptop and decide to get the alienware m17x, and I just click a 'buy it now' from a suspicious seller as just now I haven't paid it yet but after seeing his latest feedback, someone just give him a feedback saying he never get the laptop..its a SCAM. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Don't know whether is it real or a scam but the seller offer me free shipping eventhough Im far away which Im getting suspicious and he gave me 9 days to settle the payment or else he re-listed it again...hmmm... what should I do?

          I just ask him this:

          Dear member28739,

          hi

do you really have the laptop? I just saw from your feedback that a guy just bid 3 others of m17x of yours. Please prove me if you really have it

          his answer:

          Dear mel27978,

All the auctions have been pulled, this was what I found out by the negative feedback as a scam. My bad for not doing due diligence on this before hand. I have refunded all purchases.

hmm..what does he mean by 'My bad for not doing due diligence on this before hand'?

I think at this point it would be a good time to just walk away and look elsewhere.

There is no need to buy an Alienware. Look at Asus. You'll find same specs with cooler running platforms. Alienware boasts big specs, but they use the same components. If you call Asus, they will also work with you for a custom build which will easily save you a grand depending on the system you want.

I've owned 2 Alienwares in the past and while they're good, it's mainly packaging. If you need help with this, send me a PM and we can take offline.
