Just a thought. I got started in rc boating when I built a dumas sorcerer in 1979.
At that time there was 3 or 4 rc boat magazines. Now there are non that I know of. There are 6 or more rc car mags and same or more of airplanes! It would be great to see a rise in popularity of rc boating. It would be good for the hobby business as well as the hobbyist. Maybe I should ask disney to do a movie with a rc boat? It is amazing how the technology of electric motors and batteries has come since I started. In 1980 I blewup the K&B 7.5cc and put the boat on a shelf
in mom's basement. (I was 14 at the time.) That boat sat there until 2 months ago. I got it out and installed a OS .30VG, also bought a aquacraft UL-1 from here. I now ask myself why I have been away from this wonderful hobby and it's wonderful people for so long. I remember Mr. Finley in wichita and others that helped me get started, And now so many here on OSE that have givin so much advice! There just is not better people than those in rc boating!!
