The Moon

I had an idea late one night when I couldnt sleep. That I should try to use my telescope to view the moon and use my iphone4 as a view finder to see it. Then I thought "Hey I can snap pictures and video of it too!" This was my first attempt at it. I need to take my scope apart and clean the lens. Im going to try for planets if I can find one next.

Lol thanks. I downloaded and installed starmap pro and star walk for my iPhone last night. I'm going to use those to help find other things in the sky to look at.

Would be cool to see the space station but it moves so quick it's hard to track with a hand crank scope.

I have talked off passing satellites with my ham radio setup a few years back. That was a neat thing to do too. Also you can make images of the earth by listening to passing weather satellites as they transmit back to earth.

Last Sat the moon was closest to the earth in 18 years so it was a neat experience.
