    When do you think that we as consumers started having to accept inferior new products? Was it the late 70's when american car companies started selling inferior vehicles or was it in the 90's when software companies sold us products broken out of the box?

      when we became a throw away society,we the consumer want the latest and greatest.
      no longer do we buy some thing to last a life time or even 10 or 5 years in some cases,its each new model.
      most are willing to buy some thing that wont last as long because its either much cheaper or in 6 months it will be out dated
