This would be the perfect time to standardize the US and Canadian Currency.

Umm sure. But why would THEY want to?

I grew up north of detroit, people were always refusing canadian coins. Odd how that is changing. Used to go over to Canada to go bar hopping and the dollar went pretty far. That change thing is definately happening. Been happening for a long time, just really coming into center stage now.

Do not worry lads this has happened before but Canada's currency is based more on commodities (oil, gas, lumber, minerals, etc.) rather than manufactured goods. The USA is in better shape than you may think, apart from your banking system, that has been the downfall of the greenback, pound and other currencies.

Just wait until our infrastructure crumbles around us. Then you'll see a depression. Most bridges, levees, roads, sewers, power grid, etc are WAY past their life expectancy. What do we do when they start to fail and there is no money left to repair them. Can you say subsistence living?
