yep, we are just all standing on the deck of the Titantic trying to get the band to play the song our side wants while it sinks!
I don't know guys, laugh at me if you want. Outside RC boats, most of us don't know each other. I come here because of the great info and ideas on our hobby. I read this section it seems, just to get fustrated. People get BIG in front of a monitor. I do not care, I have nothing to prove to people here. Hell, I suck enough at everyday life, don't need to try to get taken down here also.
But honestly, they have to be trying to take us down, don't they? I mean, how do you explain this debt? The spending? the corruption? I keep coming back to the debt. I do not see a good way out. Anyone? Anyone have the answer to how we get out of this debt and keep our country? Another stimulus now? OK, call it a jobs bill - WE HAVE NO FREAKIN MONEY LEFT!!!!! We are buying our own debt! No one has done this before and had it turn out well.
someone throw me a bone and show me a way this works without a breakdown of the system or part II of the American revolution.
go ahead and tell me how your party is going to solve it and I am a loser. I find myself thinking more about how to heat my home if the energy sector fails or energy taxes go sky high, or how to feed my kids for a year than I do about RC boats, which stinks.
family is up in Michigan, around grand rapids. Today at 2pm they said they pulled the snow trucks off the road until tomorrow. No reasons given, but it is still snowing and 2 hours until rush hour started. Budget is gone for plowing. last time I was up by Detroit over Christmas couldn't believe how poorly they were plowing and salting. tons of accidents. Michigan is broke. they are not plowing snow off the roads as much. How does this end guys?????????? i am going to go shower and go to bed.
While America sinks we argue about which is funnier: Sarah Palin hand notes or Barrack Obama telepromters. I gotta stop reading this section.
Good night my FE friends, Brian
Hmm, just sat here several minutes debating if I even post this...... Guess I did if you are reading this. Now to see if I even check back to see the jabs....
Hey, worked on some 1/10 crackerboxes tonight and my 1/16 shovel nose hydro, so some good came out of tonight! what the heck, posting it....Government Moto:

An epistle from outside the United States of America.
I have never known a nation that is so bessoted with politics, religion and the inability to see the other person's viewpoint, when it is valid.
Americans on the whole are a little insular as to what goes on in the rest of the world but that is changing with the internet. I think you have to read and watch editorials on important issues from all political viewpoints and make up your mind based on your instinct and not the party doctrine.
There are many classic cases where leaders from countries and all political stripes got it wrong and made bad descions.
As for this thread......Sarah Palin is a person I could not vote for to lead a nation of the stature, such as the USA.
The USA has much to be proud of and much to regret, but that is life.

) that this is even an issue... Obvious ploy to try to discredit the person without having to tackle the issues the person is discussing... which, of course, would be a losing proposition for the left...

The reporters point is well taken. I think he states it when he in so much as infered that she is staying alive in the arena by just being controversial. Not by being right or wrong. Like how celebrities do when their careers are not where they think they should be.
I would bet her PR team is prodding her along at some pace to keep her in the limelight. Make sure she doesnt fade so to speak. If you look at some of the commentaries from readers of that article there seems to always be afew who say the same thing. "I wish she would just go away".
And I am beginning to form the idea she just might be getting on board with running as an independant or out of the 2 party mentality. This could be very powerfull material if us American citizens demand from the Dem's what they promised to get done in their campaign promises.
You guys remember how Ross Perot shook things up. No he didnt come close but you bet both parties where watching how that election moved along. Ground based movements start out like a snow ball rolling down the mountain. They begin small and slow, then gain mass and momentum. Before you know it,........its a trend,.....its a lesson. Its the people making a decision different then ever before. Look what just happened in our last election. Who knows,......just when you think your in tune with the mood in America something comes out of left field. (so to speak).

Palin's own ratings are weaker, apparently hurt rather than helped by her return to the spotlight. Fifty-five percent of Americans see her unfavorably, the most basic measure of a public figure's popularity, and 71 percent believe she's not qualified to serve as president, a position she said Sunday she'll consider seeking. Both negatives are at new highs.ABC News/Washington Post poll finds the Tea Party movement has the potential for significant political clout, but with challenges: high negatives, a fuzzy image and broader-than-ever skepticism about one of its most prominent backers, former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
BTW - those results are from an ABC/Washington Post Poll. The Post is not exactly a liberal paper, nor in fact is ABC liberal leaning.Don't get me startedComment

The righties are so disinguous when they criticize Obama's use of a teleprompter. Did you see Sarah looking down to read her notes...not to mention her hand? I have given a ton of speeches in my time. I ALWAYS have notes. MOST people do. Obama does great extemporaneously ... just witness the meeting he had with the Repub caucus and when asked a question, he fired from the hip, hitting the target on the head. In most cases, leaving the idiot repubs speechless.
It matters not whether Obama is a good or bad President to you people. You are bound to see him fail because he's a Democrat and how dare he presume to be the president, the uppity "N"! Don't deny it. It's there and it's real and it's palpable.Mini Cat Racing USA
