• The cost of medical care will continue to rise, and insurance premiums for a family of four will rise an average of $1,000 a year -- meaning in 10 years, you family's insurance premium will be $10,000 more annually than it is right now.

What I can't figure out is why we can spend so much to help the illegals, but we don't have enough to send them all back to their homelands. It won't take them too long to figure out we mean business.

Of course, "meaning business" would require backbone, and with all the concessions our politicians have made in the past (and both sides of the aisle are guilty of employing them), backbone is obviously less than a jellyfish's.

If Obamacare is so great, and so critical to get passed on Christmas Eve, why does it not take effect until AFTER the 2012 election cycle; and why did congress exempt themselves from it?

I heard an interesting statement from Senator Jim DeMint this afternoon. It seems there is a clause in the Obamacare bill that says portions of the bill can not be repealed, modified, amended, or changed in any way whatsoever (I’m sure someone could find the clip on Youtube if they tried). So even when the socialists do come to their senses, the damage will continue in perpetuity. I doubt that would pass the Constitutionaly test; but then who pays attention to that old document any more? It's no longer the Law of the Land, it's just a suggestion to the clowns in congress and the White House.

I live in a nation of ignorant fools. My father (a WWII veteran) must be rolling over in his grave. What kind of nation am I leaving for my grandkids? They are already up to their eyeballs in debt, and they’re still in elementary school/kindergarden/preschool.

Its simple, first you rule out helping and illegal in the health care bill. That is only until you them legal a year or so later. The illegals leaching off the system have caused a major part of the mess this country of ours is in. Someone I know VERY closely is(was) an illegal and was given a loan for a 3 family house 5 years ago. About $400k. Guess where he is now? As he would say "back in my country". He went bellyup and went back to Columbia!
