    Lobbyists pushed off advisory panels

Yes, Washington needs to ban all lobbying as a matter of fact, make it illegal, pond scum.

I haven't read the list of names but I hear there are more than a few lobbyists visiting the white house these days

'A year ago, Obama said lobbyists' "days of setting the agenda are over." But newspapers report that the Obama team is loaded with ex-lobbyists. The Obama team says its rules on lobbying ties are strict - but that's not the promise Obama made.'

Yep, lets blame Obama for lobbyists too, because without him there would be no lobbying right?

come on, that is not what he said. Washington has been corrupt for decades! Obama made the promise of no lobbyist in his administration, and that got blown out of the water right away. That is why people blast him on it, not saying he is the first.

If you promise to do something, and then don't, you will get called on it. Now, don't bring up Bush, clinton, bush..... because they all do it.

If the Obama administration starts to push the lobbyist out of our fed gov, I will chear him on.

don't try to make a politician sound better by bringing up how much the other guy stinks!!!!! Raise the expectations and they all stand on thier own merit. No more take the less of two evils.

Politicians have been lying to us for years. Nothing new there. It's just funny that as soon as Obama became President, So many people have become "Enlightened."
I often question the reason for that "Enlightenment."
So whether you like or dislike Obama, his policies, his hair, his clothes, what he eats, how he greets foreign politicians, his dog, whatever. You have to give him credit for "Enlightening" us all and showing us the evils that have been going on in our government.

The idea of a lobbyist isnt a bad idea. Imagine having a company and the government making legislation that has to do with that company. Why shouldn't that company have way to project their needs or have a way to voice their opinion?

                  Its just out of control.

They should. So should the people. It's just the whole system has been perverted. There's just too much "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" going on in Washington.

I agree. The idea is sound, until you add in human manipulation.

IMO the whole problem with the country is that the Constitution was drawn up in a time when it was more honorable to be a good person than selling your soul for a US Dollar.

The authors of the constitution were some smart people. They had a lot of foresight. They realized the weakness of man and put in a system of checks and balances to keep the greedy and power hungry in check. But, over the course of history, people have found ways to cheat the system. Elected officials have put their own personal agendas over the needs or the wants of the people they supposedly represent. The sharp thinking that went into the Constitution has been dulled by the dim witted thoughts of those sworn in to honor it.
