    Up in the frozen north any elective surgery is out of your pocket...no boob jobs etc.

    Also, please note we do pay for our public health system, most employers will cover the cost including dental health as part of your employment package and no charge for drugs etc, otherwise it will cost you about $60 a month for basic coverage, unless you earn no income over $20,000. Temporary workers???But you will not be billed $400,000 for a heart bypass and you are a citizen, that comes out of the public purse

      Just asking questions now. If you make more than 20k a year, does the premium go up?
      Is there a long waiting list for major or life threatening care or surgeries?

        Yes, to all questions, apart from life threathening or major surgeries. You may have to wait some time for an MRI scan

          So there is no waiting for life threatening or major care? But most of the insurance is paid from employers with the exception on contract workers? Is the wait for MRI's due to lack of facilities?
