white equivalent of the naacp? Yes, It's called the KKK and it's still alive and well in the south, as well as several other shadow societies and militia groups around the country. So your argument here is a non-starter.

I have yet to see the white equivalent to the naacp. If it were to exist, it would be called racist...etc....etc.

What do you think would happen if a white person applied to the united negro college fund?

I am about sick and tired of the double standard, and all this ridiculous racist whining.

There are truly people in this country who don't feel racial prejudice. And probably some that think it is a thing of the past. But truth be told. It still exists. As the economy worsens and people lose their jobs, it's going to get worse. Ignoring it will not make it go away. Educating people and changing the stereotypes might help. I really don't care if someone is a racist. Just don't go around making other peoples lives difficult for something that you and/or them have no control over.

Considering the history of the KKK, it hardly seems fair to compare the Naacp to a fringe group with a history of hate and violence.
They may both be organized based on race, but calling the two equivalent is quite a stretch.

Steven is totally right. This is what I do. Target market segments. You would not put a bunch of white folks in an ad when targeting AA couples in Memphis. We build ads to entice the market we are going after. (AA =African American)

It use to be just stick an AA in the ad and then we have taken care of it....not anymore...it looks stupid and the AA see right thru it.

I will say one thing, after just getting our advertsing awarness study back...AA certainly realize it is tagerting them but also the white folks are also seeing ads with less racism. It seems to be fine to show white people our ads with AA people and they seem to look past that more than before. The AA respond much better to ads with thier own color in them.

I do see a trend in white folks not seeing color as much as they used to. They see the family doing the same as the AA doing. AA expect a differnent message...races are motivated by different things.

I also do a Girls Weekend Out targeting older girls to get back with their college friends like they used to...big segment! We want some of that as they spend buttloads of money in retail. You get them with fun dinners out, spa treatments and shopping.

Nike has done the best branding around. They know how to target...Sony has also done some of the best with itunes.

Just part of the game folks. Do I change heads...no way but I have shot blue screen putting familes at places for our ads...both print and TV.

Who even knows if the dude started out AA. His head looks pretty big.

Gorilla marketing is just that...do you know how much exposure this just gave them? Good or bad...it counts for something.

Who broke the story (pissed off AA in the picture?) I doubt it...he got paid no matter what.

It would have been cheaper to re-shoot it with a representation of the people in their target demographic than the cost of cleaning up the PR mess now.

Are you accusing the NAACP of lynching white guys? Of burning things in their front yards? Of running them out of town?

Don't be silly Andy. Of course not. The naacp has tried to do things in a bit more civil manner through legislation, etc. They did peaceful marches, etc. They didn't stoop to the lynching and other violent tactics of the KKK, etc.

My point is, there were and still are organizations out there on the white side that are still extremely racist and would most likely resume the violent acts again if given the chance and not kept in check by an enlightened society. It is frightening that the movement to the extreme right by the hate talkers on radio and fox news are beginning to give these horrible people 'license' to act out once again.

What about organizations like The Black Panthers, or La Raza (translation: "The Race")? Aren't those "Over the Top" outright racist organizations, focused on nothing but race? Yet the state-controlled media and the Lefties say nothing about a group called "The Race". Oh yeah, that's right; enlightened society (those with mental disorders) considers La Raza's stated mission as "progressive".

The Black Panthers disbanded in the Late 70's http://www.blackpanther.org/
And I don't think that La Raza was any specific group. But you do have the mexican mafia who are trying their hands at ethnic cleansing.. http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles...xicangangs.htm

                      Taken from the article..
"Aztlan's goal, known as La reconquista, is to cede and take over the entirety of the southern and western states by any means necessary and impose a Communist militant dictatorship. President Bush's blanket amnesty program goes a long way to helping the extremists achieve their aim."

The Black Panthers came into fruition, to protect their communities from the exploits of J Edgar Hoover. They Where just as racist as the U.S. in whole who supported Hoover and his overt operations against black people.

If Bigots and racists want someone to dislike, they should dislike those reflective people. Ya know, the ones you can only see when looking in a mirror.

Thank God that never came to pass..... Reagan granted a blanket amnesty, and that was a disaster. Now let's hope BHO will not try to do the same thing.

Why do politicians want amnesty? The Dems want the votes, the Repubs want the cheap labor. Seems nobody listens to what American Citizens want.

All this talk of Re-Conquista, and you wonder why I am against ILLEGAL ALIENS receiving amnesty, or ANY government freebies. That's not racist, that's just the way it is. When the majority of ILLEGAL aliens (not immigrants, that word has a different meaning) are of one nationality, it's not my fault. I knew a fellow from England that was an illegal alien. He deserved to be deported every bit as much as someone who managed to sneak in from Guadalajara.

So let's look at the re-conquista idea for a moment. Americans, mostly white males like my great-grandfather who arrived here in So Cal in the late 1840s, turned the So Cal desert into a great place to live. They built roads, utility distribution systems, dams, bridges, power plants, housing, businesses, industry, and attractions of all sorts. Now a bunch of foreign nationals think it belongs to them because they sold it to us for a low price a hundred and sixty years ago? Why don't they build their Utopia in their own country? They have just as many, if not more natural resources than we do. Oh, I get it: They don't want to WORK for it, they want it for free. And let's just suppose we did give it to them. How long would it take for it to become just like the rest of Mexico, a third-world corrupt and crumbling hellhole?

Dr.Jet you live in a dying world. according the scientific estimates, prior to the year 2000, the majority of the world would be brown by 2050. Post year 2000, that estimated has been reassessed to an earlier year, 2042. Stick around a lil' bit longer.
