I would have to agree, that men in general are/can be evil.

In several of the instances that begin this post, the shoe could have well been on the other foot. There was a huge cry from Germany during WWII, that called all Germans living abroad to return to the fatherland. I would think this would make many Americans uneasy about German Americans. Is this right? How right was the way the Germans treated the Jews?

Chinese, good lord, ever heard of the way they treated their own kind during some of their conflicts?

I would suspect that those who were on the death martch would have good things to say about the Japanese.

Ever hear how some of the Indians treated the white man? Save a bullet for yourself huh? Probably not a bad idea.

The point is greed, and corruption is certainly NOT limited to the white man. Not even close. To even propose such is ridiculous.

Atrocities can and have been committed by every race color and creed on the planet.

I worked for a chinese owned company. You cannot imagine all the corrupt and evil things the owner and his family did. Things that violated so many laws you wouldn't believe.

                Here is an interesting thought.

Did you know that from even a comercial airliner let alone space, if you look down on the world you can not see borders or lines on a map.

Have you ever looked at a large crowd from a distance, say at a football game. Who is black, who is white, who is gay, who is not. Hard to tell really because we (people) all look the same.

We are, because we are all human. Get used to it as it will be this way for a while.

                Think about it.
                See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

here is an example of my problem

The 2007 Christian-Newsom murders in Knoxville sparked debates over media coverage, race, and justice, revisited in 2025.

last I heard the Defense attorney said the death penaly wasn't fair becuase the defendents are black.

My point is that a crime this bad had almost no press coverage, but if it had been white on black, everyone would have heard about it.

Valid point. But I'm not so sure the press doesn't cover black against white crime just as heavily.

I have known a lot of black people who were hard working, honest, and pulled themselves out of their violent culture, impoverished upbringing, and prejudice against them to become well educated contributing members of society. I admire them. We can not begin to imagine the difficulty they had to go through to get there.

Sadly, if seen on the street, these same upstanding admirable people are stereotyped with the others of their race who would commit violent crimes, etc. Again, we can not even imagine what they continue to go through.

I'm not whining for them or granting them any special status but I do try to have an understanding and some empathy for their plight.

After all these years, this is still a sensitive subject. Why is it so hard to treat a person as a person? Imagine a society where the roles were reversed? Movie: "White Man's Burden" or even individual roles. Movie: "Watermelon Man." How much our opinions would change if the roles for us were reversed.

When I worked as a civilian for the Air Force in the 1980's, we were put through a role reversal exercise just such as that. The whites in the class assumed black roles and vice versa. Talk about an epihany! EVERYONE came out of that class with tears in their eyes. Maybe a class like that should be required every school year starting in Kindergarten!

I believe that racism and discrimination in general, are one of the major problems in this country and if left unchecked, could contribute to its demise. So
If you want to take it to the extreme like Fox news...Racists are terrorists and want to tear down the fabric of democracy. Or their actions are unpatriotic and contribute to the wearing down of american culture. Or....

The problem is it's worldwide. The Sunnis hate the Shiites, the taliban hate everybody, the rogue bands in Africa practice genocide on a grand scale.

I suspect it's been this way from the beginning of time. It's just that with the worldwide media and internet we have now we hear a lot more about it. The same with pedophiles who were probably always around but we didn't hear about it or politicians cheating on their wives but the press 'didn't go there' because they respected people's privacy. That was before the radical right bought up all the media outlets and started running 'tabloid tv and talk radio' and smearing everyone that didn't agree with them. Very dirty tactics indeed but there is a segment of society that believe the lies and crap they vomit out of their mouths on Fox news, Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Savage, Schnitt, etc. THESE are evil people because they rile up the unstable idiots out there who WILL act out and do something violent. It's already happened.

The far right selling their bag of lies just to jack up their listeners also spreads more hatred and racism. It's a sad sad world today and it will never stop until those who are promoting it stop. Spewing hatred over the air should be a crime.
