Okay, how about this? If a few of the cards are a tad bit wider, when they are cut, it will be at that wide card. You can see him flip the deck one handed afterwards to put it back in order. Now the problem I see is the shuffling at the beginning. Both guys are way cool and there must be a mathematical answer but I don't see it!
