Why all the shuffling around of the questions here??????? =stupid

Correct me if my logic is flawed. If a simple question is asked and posted. In a section where a 1000 people could quickly answer when they see it as they do their business. Why is that question shuffled away to a section that those 1000 people don't go to due to the fact that they already have this knowledge???? Example: why would someone go to the "prop talk" section when they already know everything about props, thus my question goes there to die, with all the other unanswered questions. Or the "Aqua craft section" automatically weeds out every person with knowledge about "flex-shafts" (what my question was about) unless they happen to have a Motley Crew and just happen to go in there, Thus my simple 2-second question is now dead... I understand the need for different "sections" but zealous over "categorizing" them does nobody any good at all. Most people don't have the 2 or 3 weeks for a 'passer-by' to help them out with a question. When the answer could have come from a bunch of people and maybe some new ideas along the way.

    Is my thinking wrong???

Thats my rant But you probably wont see it, cause it will get MOVED.

Well it made its way down the the "Aquacraft, sub-section: Motley Crew thread.

I posted it last night and got some good info about 150 flex shafts vs 3/16 for my specific set up, then talked to Ben from fightercat this morning. So I think I got it covered. But I do appreciate your willingness to help. It proves my point perfectly. I would not receive help from a guy with all your FE knowledge, if you didn't see my question in here.

      Thanks again for the response.

Bottom line: i need a 3/16 instead of my 150 drive line

Always glad to help you out. FE is a complicated sport & I still have a hell of alot to learn. But, this forum has been priceless for me. Met some really great folks, and learned many valuable lessions here.

With a handle like yours, you probably don't like taking a lot of shi*. JIM

That is true, It came from a Boat board I belong to (for real boats) I like to just float down the river, till I happen to "float up" on someone to race.

I see it a lot. Someone has a question about a particular part. They mention there boat is a RTR, and it gets moved to that particular section of the RTR sub-forum. Most guys who don't own that RTR will never even see the question.

Steven created the sections to simplify information finding. there are currently 31,204 threads on OSE. Try finding the info you need that was posted yesterday puched down to page 34 because EVERY THREAD is in the main board. Traffic is not the cause of OSE and it's management It is, in fact, the cause of it's members. If a thread is created in the main board when it belongs elsewhere, it will ALWAYS be moved to the proper section. I never thought I'd say this, but try using the "search" feature

Man, I use that "search" method a lot, it cuts down on 50% of my stupid questions, and i find a ton of info that I would I use later down the road or different directions to take to a problem. But sometimes a quick answer is all that is needed, rather than two hours of reading and searching. know what i mean? there is no sure fire solution to this dilemma. And a "new guy" needs a crap load of info for this money sucking hobby. I just needed to rant, and maybe the powers that be can ease up a bit on the "moving"

So you don't look at all the new posts? I at least skim thru them to see what is interesting even though I don't own a RTR boat
Oh by the way I moved this one to the Forum Feedback and suggestions forum

Steven, Danny and Jim do a great job and they serve all of the members of this board. Why do they insist on moving your posts to the appropriate section? Let's say you have a Proboat RTR. You may want to ask about a prop selection in the Q & A section. But what about the next newbie who is looking for the same info? Doesnt it make sense that he would look in the Proboat Section? Meanwhile your post is buried 20 pages back in Q & A.

I think it's fare to say most people that surf this forum regularly hit the "Whats New?" button when they log on. So they see all new messages posted. Then they look at the title to see if it interests them or if they can help out. I know ninety-five percent of the time I don't even notice what section a post is in. Now when I was a newbie, I started on this forum looking in the various sections for the topic that interested me.

The bottom line is people are seeing your post no matter what section you put it in. And the moderators need to keep the info on this board organized for everyone to use.

As far as using the search feature, I hear you. I've seen simple questions asked and members type three paragraph responses on why you should use the search engine when they
could of answered the question or provided a link in a quarter of the time.
