    Heli Blade qustions

I have seen heli blades for sale. HK has a pair of CF heli blades for $25. My question is how are they made? Are they hollow? Are they a uniform width along the entire length?

I was thinking of using them (by cutting them) for sport hydroplane wings between sponsons for adjustable down-force. They look cool too.

Is this a waste of time?

I'm in this for an answer, I bought a set of Align 450 sized carbon blades for similar purposes, and they were a nice parallel chord and an even symetrical camber down the blades, but they turned out to be floppy CRP rather than proper carbon fibre and pocketed out with stickers covering the holes, pretty weak and useless for our purposes, I would be interested if someone links to a set of propper carbon or even decent laminated wood ones.

The higher quality blades have a foam cores. Some of the cheaper ones are hollow. Not sure about the HK ones. Too bad I didn't see this a couple of weeks ago. I pitched a set that had light damage on the tips from a blade strike.

          Pretty slick, Doby!

Here are the blades I use on my Trex 450. They're actual CF http://www.hyperion-world.com/produc...HP-H-MAIN-325C
