    Hot rod E-Revo?

I put a Castle 1518 in my ERBE, just couldn't resist at those prices!

I sold the 2200 that came in it with enough left over to buy two clearance motors!

Unfortunately the 1518 is the biggest and requires shaving a few mm off of the rear shock mount.

I'm still working on top speed with this thing, but lower KV will help with run time and power for the sand dunes!

I like to run paddle tires and terrorize the beach sometimes! These guys are addictive and good for hours of run time!

Sweet! I ordered a 1518 to do the same thing in mine! Probably gonna put the stock 1515 in my fe30. Any good pics of the modded shock mount?

The first two, but I guess it doesn't show depth that well.

Yeah I looked at those, it's just kind of hard to tell exactly how you cut it down. I'm sure once I get my 1518 in I'll get it figured out. I hear there are some aluminum mounts that work with the 1518 also.

Two minutes with the exacto knife shaving it down about 1/4" and it was in. No sweat.

          The plastic parts trim easy.

What kind of speeds are you getting out of it? I put a 1520/1600kv in my TT-ST-1 brushless conversion and GPS'ed 57mph with a 18t pinionbut had a tire come unglued so will have to try again. I am impressed by the torque...a noticable diference even in a truggy between the 1520 and the 1515.

I've been so boat busy lately that I haven't run my ERBE.

I have installed the 1512 1800 in one though and set it up on 6s. Mid 50's and terrorizes the dogs in the neighborhood.

Still 40mph wheelies are normal and even my taped tires come unglued! I've had the best luck with Pro-Line's street tires. Taped inside to prevent ballooning.

I was going to PM you yesterday asking about this thing. Still considering dumping a 1518 in mine.

Run the 1800 on 6s. It's just a bit less RPM than the 2200 on 5s. Plenty of power for the ERBE on the road/dirt.

Go 1518 for the sand though. The 1512 get's hot with paddle tires at 50mph in the sand.

I currently run the 1515 on 4s geared 18/54. Thats maybe around 40 mph, and plenty fun for me. I was thinking 1518 on 4s with paddles and geared approprietly would hopefully keep heat down. My 1515 gets HOT.

I have one all setup to hit the sand, just haven't had the chance to get it there.

I now have 3 dozen boat projects to finish in the next few weeks.
