    Starting a New Project:

I am going to start building my 44" Avenger Pro 10S Cat... I got in the motor and speed control today!!! I will post more pictures tomarrow...

I am first going to try the NEU 2215/2Y (750kv) with Castle HV-180 esc and 10S lipo.... If I run into any issues, there is always the 2230 and HV-240....LOL

    Setup::

    1. Aeromarine 44" Avenger Pro (light electric lay-up)

    2. Neu 2215/2Y (750kv)

    3. Castle HV-180 esc

    4. Top Secret Boats Hardware (strut w/skeg, rudder assembly, blue anodized water outlets/ thu-hull fittings and 1/4 scale servo mount)

    5. Dasboata,,,1/4 flex shaft w/ step-down for 3/16 prop

    6. OSE,,, 8mm-- .250 Coupler & 8mm thrust bearing

    7. Hitec 755-MG servo

    8. All 5.5mm connectors on Battery leads and esc power input wires,,, 6mm connectors on motor to esc

    9. 4X 5S 5000mAh PolyRC lipos

    10. X450, X452, X455, and X457 for testing... (All are OSE S&B props!)

Here are a couple pictures of the motor, esc and hull....

I'm converting mine to the 2215 as well. What are you going to do for a motor mount??

If my eyes are right, thats 4 rows of cooling plates on the HV180? Shouldn't have any heat issues....

If so, would it be feasable to run 2 water pickups and run 2 sets of cooling lines to the HV180? I guess I'm looking at circulating the water 2 times around in each line instead of 4 times around in 1 line. More heat dispersement?

          I hope that made sense.

            calcagno45...

Yes, there are 4 plates total... I dont expect to pull more than 90-120 cont. amps, so heat should not be an issue...

Yes, there will be 2/ water pick-ups... I will try a few different circulation methods... Steven here at OSE is getting me a "tester" waterjacket for the 2215!! So there will be many options for the cooling lines....

I am installing the hardware today, I will have more pictures later....

I am going to build it all out of ply... Unless someone comes up with a nice alum. mount soon....

                More pictures.... Hardware is installed...

I cant wait to try the 2215/2Y (750kv), so I put in in the 40" Insane Cat for some testing!!
The Insane Cat had a 2280/10 (740kv), so it should be a good comparison test...
I will also test the HV-180 in the Insane Cat w/ the 2215.... Just to get some info, while I build the Avenger Pro...

The last picture is the Lehner 2280 beside the NEU 2215....

Good luck with the testing. Can't wait to see some video's too!!

I was trying my brain out, lol. I dont use it much but that seemed like a good try. I see that the rudder has 2 water pickups on it.

What size cable will you be running?
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

No sir,,, it is from Top Secret Boats... He makes really nice gasser hardware! I have used his stuff in the past with great sucess, also there are a couple gassers in our club that run TSB hardware.... Very nice CNC machined, T6 Alm. all s/s screws included.... I run his Nitro hardware on my Mean Machine, it is much like the speedmaster stuff.....

How does the stepped-down flex cable hold up?
