    Miss llumar nitro conversion

I got a used nitro miss llumar that I am converting to f.e. Been following a couple of build threads on similar hulls. The motor is a feigao 9xl(approx.1900kv) mounted on an etti motor mount, octura coupler, stock flex shaft. I'm working on a speed control and battery placement seems to be the big issue on this hull. Using a jr servo mount and stock proboat servo for now. Here are a few pics.

You runin 2 2s packs? Can you place them inside the cockpit in a "<" shape on each side of the motor?

Thats an interesting rudder. Come with it? I did a miss bud coversion many moons ago with an Aveox system. Ran pretty good but the inside is so darn tight I just couldnt stand it with my big mits. I put my speedo in the servo box to keep it protected. Since I was using nimh cells I didnt care if they got wet. Very easy to dry out with a heat gun! Keep us posted. Looks gooooooood!

Get with JesseJ. He did a Elam that SCREAMED! I'm pretty sure he had the motor all the way up in the nose cone.

Yes! They are a tight squeeze, but that is definetly a possibility.

Really? I missed that build. I'm trying to keep this one simple and not mess with the stuffing tube. Already epoxied the mount in place. Thanks for the info. I'll have to search for that thread.

I dont think you have a choice with the batteries..... lol Keep your cog at 1-1.5 inches from the back of the front sponsons if you can.

Not stock. Its actually made by twisted liquid racing.

Thanks for the pics guys. Did either of you try to seal up the cockpit somehow to make it water tight?

I was itching to get her wet so I just taped the piss out of it. Did seal permanently the back hole where the "turbine" is tho.

I put a piece of styrofoam in the cowl so that it would press down on the divider between the engine compartment and the radio box when the hatch was put on and then taped on the outside on the forward part

sweet! I love these hulls, best looking one out there - for scale.

Yeah my thread was a parallel build with Bustit, so you gotta run through it all.

I did a little work on it, stiffening and balancing. added a wire drive - didn't like that monster stuffing tube - and was determined to get the weight as far forward as possible. With motor in cockpit and batteries almost into the sponsons, I still had to add ballast to the tip of the sponsons.

                              I be watching!
