    Hey guys check this out!

Ok I bought one of these clone Velocity Cats here----

I was wondering can i use saddle pack style lipos with one on each side? Salirs intrustions for his cats say to run one batt on the left side of the hull would it hurt anything to run saddle packs like im saying though?

Lets see, i believe CG on some cats is 33%. Not sure for this guy. Im sure it varies from hull to hull.

single pack on the left is to counteract the torque roll.

thats what i figured Salir but have you tried running two packs how is the torque roll then?

If you run two packs, one on each side, then you WILL have torque roll. I haven't tried it because if you run the boat on 4S (two 2S packs), you will burn up the esc and motor.

No I wasn't talking about running the two batteries in series I was going to run two smaller 3s batteries in parallel.

Good morning sir, the best bang for your buck will usually be from the highest c rated cells. Boats demand SO much and cells are just now getting up to par with the loads. Lower c rated cells don't last as long and in fact, 30 is on the low end.

Cmpettitive guys are running 40-50c cells!
In saying that I do realize hot packs are expensive, but standing in front of the boat would you pay 25 bux extra for 50-75 more runs? -Absolutely

yes but everyone says in this boat you shouldnt run more than 20C thats why i am confirming before i purchase but i was thinking on the same lines as you

see i guess the problem was the higher C ratings have that higher initial burst of power and it was frying the esc that comes in these boats but i guess F*** it ill just get the bigger C batts and if it fries the esc well then ill just buy a new cheapo one from hobby king LOL

P.S. I still would like to hear from those that have some of these boats what batteries do work with the stock esc without problems. So come on guys tell me what the highest C rating batteries you have used in one of those velocity cats from MCR?...................WITHOUT FRYING THE ESC!
