All pre installed (a couple minor bits quite poorly) from the factory

So I took everything out ... but the glued in engine mounts ... and returned them aligned ...

SF240HV are superb ESC for 4-12S setups.
Ive seen several know name brands fail under high startup load and/or extended draw.

An external cap bank aids in buffering ripple voltage

Ive made a pair here .. and attached direct to the ESC.

        IMG_0142.jpg

        6* 1000uF 63V rubycon .. this circuit equates 1500uF buffer
Video further down thread, 2/3 through clip, shows WOT launch BIG props, , no issues....

Stingers are as simple as you can get, but quite functional.
1/4 teflon bushes support the 1/4 flex and stub, with the prop shaft end at 3/16 for dog, prop and nut
          3/16 stub length at 1.5" (38mm) length
unthreaded so you need a grubscrew prop keeper.

Shaft has flats for dog and prop keeper.

Next was to stick it all back together

            IMG_0144.jpg

The only real nasty thing 'out of the box' was the non waterproofing of the rubber steer cables.
So I fitted 3/16 brass sleeves to run the servo cable guides through.. I epoxied the tube into back of hull, and used waterproofing bellows on tube as it approached the servo.
The bracket below came with the hull. attached to the servo. So I attached them under cowl lip in same spot as pic, and ran brass tube through. moving brackets backwards 40mm gave space for bellows.
            Works a treat.
            IMG_0130.jpg
Every bit of water protection helps !

            IMG_0143.jpg

I pulled out the cheapass brass pickup tubes hot glued in the bum, and fitted a pair OSE dual underfhull pickups.
These I merged each sides 2 inlets via a black T fitting from local garden centre into fed a single line to each Motor/ESC combination..
Plenty of watet there now !
Maiden saw 24+" spray from outlet !

Flex shaft outers are expoxied CF to hull in the center of their length, and sit free from stingers .. The shaft is 0.5" from stingers, still within teflon.
This allows the stinger up/down adjust +/- 4" without the need to bend the outer.
            Works a treat !

The wiring for this is to Australian rules of max 12cells for top level 'EC'
2 x 6S packs in series, mounted one a side in sponsons, shared as 12S to these medium draw mega big motors.
                2 x 6S50100C5800 handles these babies with ease. ( 12S50/100C11600mAh )

First few micro laps were maiden run.. returned to check for water ingress.
Returned dry, so taped again ... out it went on 5518/3 L&R props for some squirt action.
Spun a flex at collett at 1.36 ..
Drove to shore, and tightened all .. and out with X465 and full WOT runs.
                  OMG those flexes HOWLED.
                  Will recommend lower to owner

Failure last few seconds.. lost prop retainer on R, so steering biased.. prop gone to the deep 8(

Was it fun to drive ?

                  Sure !

                  regards

If floats, it drives well, and inside is a smoke free environment.
Time to send to the new owner,, and wait for the photos !

I changed out flexes to 1/4 with 1/4 stubs, with this power/prop it's foolish to expect oo much survivability.
                    - if not running 10+KWt 50V this would be unnecessary , Id stay with 1/4x3/16

                    2. after total of 4-5min fooling around here squirting and wot .. came back barely body tempt.

Bring your toys over here Doc. It'll be about 90F today.

Do you have some pics of the battery disconnect loop? I've seen the Euro "Not-Aus", but I'm intrigued by this type. I understand the schematic, but I'd like to see what the installation involves. Thanks, T.
