Hey man i am really thinking of building this boat. With the set-up you have what speeds do you think you are going to get? Also what Motor would you recommend since the one you are using is discontinued?

And what offset rudder did you use? Do you really need two??

Would you recommend this boat to a first time builder???

        GREAT BUILD!!

Do you know those propeller from Promise Hobby? They are cheap, 20 Euros each. Without talking of the price those props look perfect excellent, they are light, well manufactured . The blades are thicker than Tenschock' s. Just have three-bladed , one of 48mm and l' other made 52mm. The step is of 1,4 for both. This is the right size, Octura X447/3 is recommanded with a CC1717 xith 6S in a 1 meter deep vee . Anyway this is a very good deal, props need to be sharpened, no more

Edit ; those props are made by VXP Propellers and price is 50% down at lzrc. Have a look :

                Hi!

It's quite strange to start with stickers and not the building of the hull... nevermind for propellers
What esc will you use ?

Im going for the 5S on a 5682 1700KV, going to give it a go and see what happens. if it gets too hot might have to give it more S :D

No update, I was skiing for 2 weeks in French and Swiss Alps

I always start with a finished and clean hull

                      Why? Seems kind of backwards.
                      Just curious

Hey Alfa, mine turned up, the quality of the hull is amazing. I wont be painting mine!
Ive got a 5682 1700KV i was going to run with 5 S packs, but i am starting to think its going to be too big! the weight distribution will be very diffcult with a motor this size. have you got any plans for yours? ive allready got a 3/16 drive setup and stinger drive, no rudder yet.

Oh yes, the Rapid or Racemaster are very nice, the materials and finish are very high quality, I don' t paint mine. I use vinyl adhesive color sheets for places and stickers for an Outerlimits replica. A Leopard 5692 is very big and heavy, 880 grammes, my Castle Creations 1717 is 560 grammes. If you want to use the Leopard 5692 this is not a problem, heavy motor adds stability for the hull you can use 3S + 2S batteries, 3S on the left side. I use 2 rudders, found a model xhich can be reversed to have a symetrical mount
IMPORTANT: The motor must be installed on the back of the hull
If you are interested I sale this set of stickers and I have stickers for cockpit, let me know if you need one
