Water Proofing an HM 200amp esc

I figured some one may be able to use this info so here it is. With this unit being 3 boards I needed to take a different angle @ it. No copper this time. I have cooling plates, 2 heat sinks and a fan. I made up a little mold out of some .050 lexan. Next time I will bake it in the oven as I was told. The heat gun is to uneven. It still was usable & some sanding will clean it up. Quite a bit will be removed during the clean up leaving a much smaller footprint than the 70's. The lexan will pop right off the epoxy and the 5 minute DC I used to seel up the wire holes. It's really easy to work with. just score it and a little bend breaks it off straight every time. I'll post the finnish pictures tomorrow.

    Looks great.

Should I use this same approach with this one:

or do you think the heatsink is good enough? I have a water cooling plate I can add if necessary.
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

        Tom,
Where did you get that ESC from? Himodel says they are out of stock. I am thinking of running your old KB 8XL I got from you on this ESC on 6S.
        Keep up the good work!

            Tom,
What I meant is that I am planning on getting an HM GX200 to run with my KB 8XL on 6S in my 32in mono.
Do you think that would be a good way to go? Do you know of anyone that has run this ESC yet?
            Thanks,

This is a very good article. I use the dp270 epoxy myself. In searching for alternatives, I came across this stuff...http://www.starbrite.com/productdeta...%20%2D%20Clear Has anyone else heard of this stuff?

If the price is right, I think I'll try some out.

Did you ever finish this unit and test it? I do not see anything but an epoxy coating over it all. How are you going to put the water cooling and fan on it?

She runs very well in the high 40's and might I add handles great for being so light.
