***Skunkworks Cat Owners thread TIPS / TRICKS / PICS / SET UPS and SIMILAR HULLS***

Hi all, I thought I would set up this thread for all Skunkworks Cat and similar hull owners, current and previous to share information and experiences. I have read through a few of the other Skunkcat posts and thought it a good idea to get all the information under the one thread if others also chimed in.

Hull types and sizes, motor sizes, electrics, batteries, props, hardware, speed, temps, prop depth, run times.

My Skunkcat is set up with the following...

29" Skunkworks Cat Hull, carbon fibre reinforced.
    Nemesis 9XL Brushless motor
    4mm wire shaft drive
    OSE Aluminium Water Jacket
Castle Hydra 120amp water cooled ESC
    Speedmaster Hardware
    Futaba S9301 steering servo
    Team Orion receiver pack
    Powered by: 2 Intellect 2s 5000mah 7.4v Lipos
    Octura x445 and x442 props
Speed: not yet run, hopefull for between 40-45mph.

    Pics:

Pic below is of the newer version hull.

Are you getting one of the new hulls, or the older one like mine and Doms?

It's the stock blue with some wax on it.
I know these corner well, but how does it handle race water?

                    Dom,
It handles race water great with my current setup. With my original 580 motor setup the boat did not like the chop at all.
                    Baked,
I believe the new hulls are 32" long.

Pics and description don't match in the first thread. Just making sure I'm not going kookoo. I'm eagerly awaiting the new hulls myself.

...im getting the newer hull Heath. Ive read through you thread already. It looks great in red with the Ducatti stickers on it.

I believe the new hull with hardware are between 32-33" in overall length.

Thanks mate, unfortunately it doesn't look as good now after a season of racing. My brother airbrushes surf boards so he's going to custom paint it for me.
