Avanti's Armada now has a Delta Force 33"

    The saga continues............
Well the latest hull added to the armada is a white DF33.
    I have ordered a Hydra 240 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRJL6&P=7
    and a pair of Flight Power EVO25 5000mah 4s1p lipo http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRWB0&P=7
    so far.
I have also purchased a motor mount. http://cgi.ebay.com/FE-Boat-Brushles...3286.m14.l1318
speedmaster stinger and rudder ordered from OSE. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=ros-monosys
More to be announced as it unfolds, the due date for this project is 7-20-08
I think this hull needs some red on it

There were three of these racing at our last meet.
They were just so awesome to watch I had to get one.

The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

Dont ya just love that new hull smell! I indeed love the looks of these hulls. I may some day trade in my sv for one. Hydra 240...... Im thinking a black motor and some red on the hull should make for nice streak of speed.

No black motor just yet, I'm on a budget and will be starting out with a feigao XL not sure which wind yet.

What is everyone running for drive line on these is .150 flex big enough?
I was going to get the Speedmaster set up from OSE
        http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=ros-monosys
I plan on going with a Neu in the future (next year maybe).
I will be running 6mm bullet connectors with the wires as short as they can be, for less resistance.
edit: I am running 5.5mm for right now but I will upgrade to 6mm in the future.

I've got one of these hulls on the bench. Still in the "parts aquisition" phase of the build but I went with a .187 flex. You're right on the money with the Speedmaster hardware. Stinger and .21 rudder. All I have left to get is the neu 1515 1y and batts.

Running Neu 1521 1.5D, 4s2p lipo and .150 flex have had no problems motor is 4.25 inches from transom so stuffing tube and flex cable are very short.

Mine is .187, but probably overkill, especially if you set it up like mine and Hugh's with the motor so close to the transom

some quick mock up pics (nothing is drilled everything is sitting or taped on)

                        Exterior:
                        the tabs are 48mm x 58mm
the sv turn fins will not be used I have some carbon ones coming.
the mount I received is a bit to wide for the stringer so I will have to grind it to fit, I also plan on polishing it up as it just look to raw for me.
I will have a through hull power switch for this boat and any other new build I do.

                        Interior:
                        motor will be aft mounted
batteries will be in the keel
esc will be on top of the motor
servo and receiver will be out to the sides
