Default 36 in twin 9xl cat

Just thought I would share a build
i have been working on over the snowy season. The plans for this hull come from the netherlands I believe. All credit to the designer... I have built 1 previous hull of this design and likes its performance. I have since made mods and evn converted one to a gasser running a modded 260 zen. Here are some pics..

Looks great. Do you get servo chatter with the push/pull design?

So far none but I havent had it on the water yet. I think the secret to avoiding that is to have the cables set on the horn the same distance apart as at the rubber horns and to avoid to much tension. I learned a bit about this on a plane sight... equal distance reduces the fighting effect of one oulling more than the other is "pushing" travle must be the same...Dave
P.S. I sure hope not she is to pretty to be crashing lol

Here is a bit of an update. I have been running c/r x442 and have tried x447's bu they wre a bit much and caused thermaling. I have cut the 447 down to 444 and still an occasional thermal. i plan on trying some backcutting of the prop to see if that helps....

Thank you, it takes alot of time. I have learned alot about how boats work the stresses they are under. All the hardware is done by me. The thread here is a limited thread, I just thought I would share some of my builds here. The main threads are at rummrunners. I asked alot of questions thruout the builds and many thanks go out to the ones who helped... The nice thing about scratch building is that you can add your personal touches to the style and looks, not to mention the way its built. I plan on doing a mono this winter.....
    Again Thanks Dave

No problem most people do not know what it takes to design a boat from scratch they just go out and buy it, and that is OK because some people are just not wired for that type of work, I have a video of the first mono I designed and built, with a slide show of the second and some pictures of other builds my son and I have done together (I paint them) and build them. check the link out below my signature

I would lke to build a twin cat. I do not have access to a lazer cutter. Do you know where I can purchase a kit, with plans and cut frames and skins.

    Thanks,

Go for balsa/GF, this way the only thing you need is a good knife... :) Hard on your fingers, but fun nonetheless...

There are no kits unless you paysomeone to make it for you...These hulls come from plans. the plans are then put on the plywood and cut out by hand.
If you want a premade cat ebay has some but i would check here with the locals to see how they run...Good luck Dave

I would like a set of plans, either in cad/cam format or paper. Prefer the cad/cam format to have a lazer cutter do the wood.

How do I obtain either set of plans?

    Thanks

And to think I have a 40+ in version of this all frammed up and planned for twins.... I dont have the power plants or the cells to run it yet so i havent finished it but left it as a frame.

As for an update the twin cat is slated for a switch to 8xls instead of 9'.
And lipo........... Then maybe run the twin 9's in the forty on like 5-6s lipo???
