ran the popeye today with the new1515 2200kv motor m545 and blew it over twice....cg is too far back with a dinogy 5000 battery second run I raised the strut a 1/16 or so...and it ran faster but nose high ...next time out I will put battery sideways up front and put cg a inch farther forward....and see what that does.....I like it so far just needs to be trimed up some

The after plane has an overhang to the bottom hull surface. Much like a Andy Brown Atlas Van Lines kit. These overhangs help trap air under the hull requiring less power to get on plane, stay on plane but, MIGHT limit the speed of the hull ona long 1/6th mile course with other boats to deal with.... MIGHT! Not sure. I don't own one myself so I can't say for sure how this hull will do in race chop against full power 4S2P Whips etc. on full course. TBD.

Seems the faster these boats go, the less air we need trapped to hold them up. I've seen this method used with success on full size hydros to bleed air:

Pete, didn't we just have this conversation on the phone?

I don't have one in my hands either. However.......isn't it a little bigger than we usually see for P Sport? A Whip is a tiny little thing compared to this. My hunch is that with the size and weight of the boat it will work with the traps that are on there. We wont know for sure until we see one in traffic. Honestly, a beastly Neu motor with 4s10000mah and this boat will be a big heavy and fast. The best P sport I ever ran was over 10 pounds RTR.

Another hunch is that it's too big for P limited. The Stealth, FE30 and Whips are so light on there feet and so nimble in that class I'm not sure how a big.....ish boat will be able to match the speed. Although, with those traps who knows.

Tom has 6 of these coming to MI so hopefully we'll get to see them in traffic this summer.

Amen. A relatively fast tank might be the perfect combo for the nats.

Funny how that works. My LSH was THE lightest boat at the beginning of last season. By the end of the season, I was THE heaviest and running much better!!

    54 is slow for P sport. That's a LSH speed. 646/3? IDK.

Still have to finish though so who knows.

Wonder of anyone is taking one to the Winter Warm Ups in Pheonix. Pack your bags John. You need the practice anyway if we're going to go after the cup.

It will have more speed eventually.....just no really able to test anything for the next little while.

I remember at the Mich Cup 2 years ago, I finished 3rd in LSH with the slowest boat in the field of around 12 boats....and not finishing one heat because a marker got in my way....and still finished 3rd overall after the 2 days!!!

Mike B should remember that...he was in the retrieval boat
