Hey I live in pinellas park we run at freedom lake.
where is freeedom lake? I am down in south st. pete. Avanti27 on here is also in st. pete. He has a sv27 and I am running a blackjack. We usually hit up a pond on sundays on the corner of Starkey and Briandairy.
i know where that is by us 19 right?
it is probably 5 to 10 minutes from 19. You can just take Briandairy/118 ave to starkey rd. Take a right (north) and its your first right. You can't miss it.
Let me know when you guys are getting together. Would love to come up and play. Have you contacted Reed Eagle, he's up in the Tampa area as well.
All the best,
Ray
freedom lake is the one by 19 and 49th st right?? there are buoys there
I want to go to that lake
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.
we all need to get together one day over the christmas break
We are starting a new Fast Electric boat club in Land O' Lakes, just north of Tampa. Send me a message if interested!
I sent a message to another guy in land o lakes and never got a response

I have no idea who you sent a message to in Land O Lakes. It wasn't me as far as I know ;-)
We just started the club idea a week ago. We already have 10 members. We would be happy to have you.
When will you guys be meeting? Avanti and I would like to ride up sometime and bring the boats.
We will get together after the holidays. Probably mid January. Right now, we're collecting email addresses for anyone interested. We will put out an announcement to everyone about the first meeting and announce the time and place then.
Send me a PM with your email address and we'll get you on the list. It would be great to have you!
Hi WEST COAST we have a club over in Fort Pierce which is straight across the state when you all get organized let us know maybe we can set up a race series between clubs sounds like fun to me.
We currently have around 45 members check out the web "www.waveblasters.org" we race the s.v. 27s stock and modified the start of the new year we will be adding a sport hydro class with the s.v. motor and speed controller also a p-mono class and a p-tunnel class if we can help you all in getting a club started let us know through our web site.
thanks mike
Hi Mike,
Yeah, well aware of the waveblasters. You guys have a really active club. I'm hoping to get over that way one of these days to visit you! It would definitely be fun to have interclub races for sure! I know you guys have a bunch of the Micro Hydros from Mini Cat Racing over there. How about a class for those too? We will have a class for them at our club. Send me an email with more detailed info on the sport hydro class and your mono and tunnel classes. I hope you will separate the outboards from the cats in your tunnel class. There's a lot of electric outboard interest but in the IMPBA rules they have to run with cats. Not fair.

sorry for the question here, but where can I find a break down of the rules for each of the classes.
such as the p tunnel class
Mike I will probably be over that way on a few weekends during Jan. and feb. I will be working on a race boat in stewart if all stays according to plan.
Jeff,
Full rule sets can be found for both organizations at:

You fellas should hook up with Ray R. and Reed Eagle. Both of them are great guys and Ole Reed has been building boats longer than I've been alive. LOL
Mike Martin and Ken Haines are good people too!!

I just swapped in the stock motor so I can rule out the possibility of the water jacket on the ammo motor. The other thing I noticed was the motor wasn't perfectly lined up when I pulled it out, so maybe the offset might have been allowing water in through the drive line. Doesn't make much sense, but I quess its possible.
First meeting is this coming Sunday (Jan. 13th).
here is the official notice that went out if you're on the email list. Everyone is welcome!
