battery question

hi i just got a sv27 and i have some 2/3a 1500 mah 6 cell packs. would it be ok to run the boat on these packs untill i get my lipo's? i dont know if it matters that they are not sub c or not. the voltage is the same just smaller mah. please any help would be great!!\

I would not recommend it. Are the NiMh or NiCd packs. Most of them are only rated at 10C. This would put you at a continuous current draw of 15 amps with a 1500 mah pack. The SV27 draws between 30 to 40 amps with the stock setup. The packs you have now would most likely not last long in the SV27.

those are some small batteries for that boat. 2/3a thats something you should not try. (I wouldnt) wait for your lipos. or pick up a set of 3600 to 4200mah sub c.
