battery charge amps

just bought some new nmh 5000mah packs from cheap batterypacks they have no charge info with the wanted to know what amps to set charger on

Generally you charge at 1c. So 5000/1000 means charge the pack at 5amps. I usually charge my 5000 packs at 4 amps just to be nice to them.

trying to get used to this hi tec stuff just bought a hyperion charger its pretty neat just have to figure out the fancy charge rates . and what to charge packs at. im guessing if they say 5 amps max for the 5000mah packs . about 4.2 amps might not be to hard on them now have to figure out how to discharge packs without doing damage

Normally, when you set the mah on the charge it sets the appropriate amp rate.
