Is this pro boat's new design???

I just got some parts shipped to me for my Fastech. Could you please tell me if what you see is normal in terms of how it looks. Rudder has only one water inlet on one side and it's on the left side...??? Is this maybe a new design? Buttom of it has opening, not sure why.... Maybe to decrease the water pressure...??? I am looking at the parts I have installed on my boat and there is no buttom opening on the radder and water inlets are on the left and right side. Any suggestions?

It looks good to me... there shouldn't be any "inlet" in the bottom. They drill up through the back of the rudder, but then fill in the bottom hole with epoxy to seal it up. Some of my rudders have the inlet hole on both sides, but most just have it on one-side.

Put it on and run it... it looks good-to-go to me...
