Why would you wanna know about overkill? why not ask which is optimal.

HAHA, Overkill is the Blackjack when you recieve it right out of the box...

Get rid of the outdrive system, get ya a nice speedmaster strut and rudder, then swap to an Ammo 2300 or so, should be about all that hulls good for.

    No hostility in this thread.

What im reading is the exact truth.
The Blackjack hull just can not go as fast as youd like it to.

Well it can, but i guarantee you that you will not like it.

There was a guy on here named Obrien and a few others who went over 50 mph in theirs, using a Ammo 2300, and a detounged X642. They seemed to like it. It's just a matter of spending some time and tweaking (Not the meth kind) to get it going the way you want.

Z400 is right, no harm done, but I was just stating that the outdrive is garbage, I tried doing some mods and found out that I should have taken the money and fixed the poor handling instead of trying to pass 45mph...

I agree. The outdrive is garbage. Mine broke when trying to remove it. You just have to compromise between speed and handling. If you want better handling, go with a wider hull like a MM or a skunkworks.

Correct, and think on this a min, the strut adjustments will allow you to work on different ride height for better speeds with a wider range of props...
