    Default My VERY Fast SV27!!!!

Ok so Here's my new SV27, I have bought and Installed the Feigao 12l... Running the stock ESC, and an X442 Octura prop. I pulled up the wood battery trays, and layed down some thick Velcrow, Replaced all the fuel tubing, and used a set of OSE trim tabs and a few other mods.

The video that is shown here was about the 4th time it was run full throttle, This was less than a 5min run because I got very nervous after the flip in the video, Everytime I pulled the trigger it lifted into the air. I don't have a clue as to what the speeds are, but with a few things done, and a bit of trimming it should break 45mph easy!

    Pic's and Video!!!!!

Looks like a shift forward with the batteries is in order. That boat was skipping
like crazy. I did a triple barrel roll yesterday after hitting my own wake broadside
but ended up shinny side up. Sometimes I amaze myself. Got a charger on order and lipo's to follow. Let the crazyness begin in Arizona.

No I believe it would work.. In short burst's... SAW passes, then let it set and cool down after running it with a x642. It would be considerably faster on an x642, but Id rather keep it on the safer side and run low 40's ... and still do a few oval laps without all the extra heat.

I got my cousin to take another video, there very short because the memory on my card for my digital camera is low.. so sorry for the short video's.

So I guess running this setup is faster than stock yes, but it does run a bit hotter on a 442, I first started with the x438 and did none stop passes beating on it after a few tests and it seem to run great, but I also ran double pickups...

Im about to build another water pickup for the motor...

The motor wasn't that hot, but the ESC was a bit warm after 5-6 laps.

I also pulled the batterys forward and tryed a few diffrent places...it help very little, so I did the most adj. with the trim tabs... it was still abit off but what do you exspect with that much power lol

    Here's another video, Enjoy!!

how far forward did you move the batteries. My old SV ran 52mph with an ammo 2300 hydra 120 and a 645 prop. I actually crammed a pair of 4s batteries in the boat to give it the weight it needed to stay on the water. I never did this, but I know of alot of guys actually adding weight forward in the hull to help keep the boat settled. You don't want to get the batteries too far forward becuase the boat will be pretty easy to spin out in a turn with the CG too far forward.

Another suggestion, take the tongue off your prop.

I have an m445 and an m442, maybe try them out and see what happens??

They were pulled forward at most an inch from stock settings, and one lap it did

spin around in the turn, so I brought it in and set the tabs..it performed alot better with

trim tabs set than batterys re-located.

depending on the conditions, I have had the front of my batteries even with the front of the motor, and sometimes further forward than that. The real problem is that these boats don't like much chop.

Next time you make a pass, go to one end of the pond, let the water settle, and make a pass. Take a good look at how the boat sets. I never adjusted the strut since it already had a little bit of down angle. I simply moved the batteries around until I got the attitude that I liked.

    obrien,

I finally ran the boat today again, and I still used the same setup as before, I did a few strut and trim tab adjustments and its running really straight and true on smooth water...

I forgot my camera today so no video, but Ill be running the two 4s Flight Power's in parr. this weekend, so maybe way longer runs and a bit fast as Ill have more weight to play with.
