One thin cote of Pacer Z-Poxy Finishing Resin on all wood parts (#PT-40)
SS trim plate’s .5deg positive to the bottom of the hull
    Strut set at 0deg
Rudder blade tucked full under (stock shear bolt)
Added turn fin to the port side (AQUB7882)
    Octura X-440/3 prop (bag)
Top speed… 38MPH (note: the wind blows almost all the time here, typically our water is loose)

    Re: red scotch brite
this is the same(close enough) as wet sanding with 320 grit sandpaper. you want to go the length of the boat, from stem to stern.

    SJFE,
I ran boats with Dirtysouth31 from RCU. He told me that Grim recommended a replacement motor for the SV27. That recommendation came when there were no replacement stock motors available. I have searched that Ginormous thread and couldn't find it. Do you remember the recommendation?

If I ever stop building new boats....I'll put one of them in the SV. Its kinda hard to upgrade boats that are in the water when you have 2 under construction and another planned.

Get any 2 part hobby epoxy from your LHS. I would not advise using the 5 minute cure stuff. Go for the over night cure. The working time is longer.

I can get some of those motors if you guys like. But the rating for the amps on that motor is 60amps continuous. That's more than the 45amp esc rating.

I'm not afraid...Order some up. I would like to see if they fit the OSE water jacket. I'll sign the "you may smoke the esc" disclaimer:p .

A buddy of mine run the 2300 KV ammo with stock AQ ESC and a M440 prop. It ran fastest with that one....we tried a bit larger and it ran hot and not as fast. It needs to spin. This was on a BJ cat so a little different. Mono should be able to take a little more prop.
