I just picked up one of these and have prepared an old skipping rope and float to tow behind it. Drive out and circle the dead/over turned boat and catch on a rudder, antenna or other part of the hull then drive it back into shore. It also gives me an extra boat to run

    Tomorrow is the first test.

Video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q3A170oqJo . It might be a bit slow, but a couple of upgrading mods would take care of that easily...

The cord wasn't long enough and the float took on some water. Back to the drawing board to make some modifications.

Some of you may have seen this before, but for those that haven't, this is what I made out of a kids foam boogie board & a couple of EDF's.
The second video is the fun part when it's not rescuing boats.

I have always wanted to use a paper boat as a rescue vehicle.

I tried to build a recue contraption a while ago....using the electronics from an old NuQida (spelling is probably wrong on that one) Mosquito and using a boogie board as a platform....it worked ok but range was pretty bad and it got stuck easily....

i ended up scrapping it though....i decided my kayak was more reliable and faster lol (plus being able to be in the middle of the lake where your running the boat is pretty cool)

That is ok there ED, so what will go in it ?? 12S2P and a pair of 580L cans, 078 wire out to 447/3 props. Mystery controllers ???

Or a pair or oars, unless you are a single paddle user.
I can do it either way and for a small inflatable like that I would probably go for the single paddle.
    See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

lol that thing would fly and flip for sure under 12S Simon, so I'll use paddles, it is safer!
