Ok well Im very pleased in the way this boat is working out and how
everything is going together really nice and neat..I really didn't exspect
this boat to get were its at as quick as it did. I just got the Feigao 12 L
Mounted up to see what it will look like and the fuel tubing run to the Jacket.
Im still waiting on a big order of extra trim tabs, Speedmaster drive setup, OSE Turn fins
Props, Coupler, and all the fittings to wire up the motor and esc. Iv thought about
going ahead an ordering a Hydra 120 but im getting well low on money for this little
project.. here's more of the 55mph project lol

Those batteries will barely fit. My Maxamps 2s 25c 8000 packs measure exactly the same and will just fit my SV27 hull.

I hooked my SV up to 6S today and had 79km\h with the standard motor. Ace fun at that speed. if you get the 55mp\h out of it you will be over the moon.

My motor overheated, not due to the 6S, but the small locating pin that holds the endcap, it came loose and allowed the can to turn under torque, this in turn cut off the water cooling and cooked the little bugger.

Now the magnetic poles feel no where near as strong, but now it's cooled it still runs, I will get it back on the water and see if it still gets going.

You definitly know about it when an SV is running around 50 mp\h.

On 6S my next move is a 10 or 11 xl, should be nice and fast.

    Cheers...Tim.

Fruity, Yeah Im really just shooting for High 40's on 4s and
able to use that speed, Not just S.A.W runs. I want the setup
kinnda for race more less, Like a good 48-49mph SV that will do
9-10 laps wide open without heat issue's ect. Im going to build another SV
later to see if I can break 55mph without it getting crazy.

Im thinking about repainting this boat but Im lost on the color for now.
I have the color Fushia but its like a weird purple almost pink so
I can't decide. But anyways keep up with this thread maybe Ill have
a cool video in the next 2 weeks!

Funny thing happened today, I was running the Yellow SV
at the local park...trouble was I didn't think to tighten the motor
    coupler...lol

About 40seconds later.... yep the flex cable, Octura x447, and a neat little prop nut
fell out into the 12ft depths lol.

Somtimes I hate this Hobby ... Then the boat sinks......So 2 hours later we rented a small
2 seater rental boat the park offers after fishing for it...

Long story short...I ended up swimming in 59 degree water...12ft deep...

But I did get the boat out. So screw this Im gunna finish my next red SV up and have no problems...............

    ALWAYS USE GOOD FLOTATION.

Heres a pic of the lake...

I would have went ahead and fished out the flex cable also if i was in the water.

Ive had that happen to me once before though.
    Live and learn!

    Perfect looking water!

Go get a cheap magnet in the fishing area and hook it to a piece of ligh line and drag it around and you should find it with a little luck. While at Walmart spend $30 on a inflatable 2 person boat. You are lucky as that is still very cold water.

So, you tellin us you took out that stupid blue flotation in the waterproof boat? AND you lost that killer X447 prop with the cute little prop nut? AAAAANNNDDD you sank the boat? Good thing this happened on the bruised yellow boat rather than the 55mph build...

I have done the swimming after lost drive lines....... to no avail. good luck with the magnet.

The mags I am referring to can pick up about 20# under water. They are also very small.

Just throwing it out and dragging may get it back but you really never know where it is....if came out spinning it can drive its self along. 12' of water is not bad. Hell, you may find other things as well! For finding boats this one is pretty good but tere are better.

Well Im alittle low on money to spend so much more than whats lost just to find alittle more than $50 bucks worth...I mean it sucks but also that the Park is very strick on the time limit you get on these little boat they offer, and they wont alow to bring your on boat or whatever.

The boats are docked at the end of the lake around 1/4th mile in the corner...and the it take forever to get out to the other end were the boat sank, It took over 30 minutes just to get there, and its 10$ buck for 30min of use lol dumb huh. So ill just take my losses on this one for now. Thanks anyways Jeff for trying to help out man!
