    Default flood chamber?

just curious, my SV took a bad t-bone smash right at the stock water outlet, and while repairing is underway i was thinking of trying to make/build a flood chamber since that side is all smashed anyway. anyone done it to an SV?

I like that sort of commitment. Gets things done.
I've been procrastinating over putting one in my 25" mono but it won't leave enough room for the battery on the left side of the hull unless I sit it on it's edge at a 45 degree angle. Not sure if this will upset the balance of the boat or not. Any thoughts? Perhaps if I do the same to the battery on the other side.

Paul, thats exactly what I did with my Triton. Worked fine with left battery on edge and right battery laying flat. These are Lipos though.
This is also the way I am setting this up. I'll take some pics as I go. Will

    Thanks Will.
I run Lipos too, so what works in your Triton should work in my little hull.

I am VERY interested in how this works out and I am sure many others are also. Was the boat empty when you tested? It looked like it was light without the weight of batteries and such inside. Keep us informed about the progress!

It had all electrics except motor. It had 2 packs of 2S lipos inside. 1 on its edge and one flat down.

That is sweet. I wonder if it will work with just a 1" hole in the back to drain with big enough holes in the deck?

    Well done.
I think you are going to start a revolution. If there is one boat that seems to need a flood chamber it's this one.
    Cheers.

How far forward does the flood chamber go ?
It looks like it is wider near the front of the hatch kinda hard to tell for sure in the picture
Let us know how it works out on the water cause my boat needs one and if there is anything different you would do next time

I see the long part of CF but how did you block the front from water going on in there? I would think there is a front piece to this CF blocking any water to go up and in the hull.

Jeff, There is a piece in the front. It was the hardest part of it was getting under the deck to seal it. A buddy of mine has small hands and was able to get the resin up in there.

The fit is good with 2 packs of Neu 2S lipos. It was tricky to get the balance right at first but I got it and it seems to work good and still keep my c.o.g. I am going to try her out this weekend. So we will see. If nothin else I had fun even if it doesnt work LOL.
