    Since it was my birthday yesterday and I can still demand answers for one more day. What are your choices.

    in no particular order:
    Rush, Pete Townshend (Who), Eagles, Supertramp, Santana, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Police, Bob Marley, Iron Maiden, Ramones and off course The Beatles.

    Good music is timeless... I know kids that like some of these bands, I am sure my kids will like some of the 80's bands I grew up listening... it'll be their version of "classics"...

    It must be a California thing, but nobody has mentioned Quicksilver Messenger Service.

    "Happy Trails" One of the best live albums ever. "Who Do You Love" Some of the best guitar work by John Cippolina. No digital effects, no Midi, no digital sampling; just tube amps, a wah pedal, a couple of analog effects, and a custon-made Gibson SG.

    Apples, do not take this the wrong way. I love music and my present audio system copmprises of a Dunlop Systemdek turntable with a highly modified Rega arm, MC , Classe pre amp, Celeste power amp , Rega planet cd player. cambridge tuner. Speakers ask, if you are into music

    The Temptations, O'Jays, Glady's Knight & the Pips, Harold Melvin & the Bluenotes, Bar-kays, Average White Band, Heatwave, Parliament and Funkadelic, Thin Lizzy, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Van Halen, The Kinks, David Bowie, Doobie Brothers, Cameo, Gap Band, Commodores, War, Eric Bourdon & the Animals.
