    Default 4000 kv 1800 watts

    Anyone know of a motor around these specs,?

    For how long? 4000Kv implys quite a low voltage, 2s or 3s seems likely, and that further implies a lot of current.

    If you are thinking of running 3s for SAWs limited to 2 runs, then yes there are several motors that would suit your needs the TP 4050 3D 3840Kv would be my choice based on budget, but I'm sure Lehner, Neu and Tenshock have similar options.

    If you want to pull that power continuously it will require a bigger motor to dump the extra heat and I don't think you will find a motor big enough with a Kv that high off the shelf, as it Isnt an efficient and therefore unpopular way to make power. maybe Lehner or Neu could make one as a special order if you have the cash to splash.

    What I find is a 3660 4300kv but only 1200 watts and yes a 2 cell outrigger trying to get over 50mph

    Oops. For some reason I was thinking 4000Kv and 4000w, I totally miffed on the 1800w somehow, the motors I suggested are too big and there will be several that provide what you want with no custom winds needed.

    I would be very uncomfortable running a 28/29mm motor at 1800w whatever the specs say, even if it will take the heat it will be operating well outside its best efficency range and a lot of that power will be transmitted to the water via the cooling can rather than the prop.

    Having said that you shouldn't need anything like 1800w to reach 50mph with a decent 2s rigger. We normally use 3s in Hydro1 now for a bit better efficiency, but back when everyone was running 2s, a 5000mAh with 2860 of about 5000Kv spinning a 36ish mm prop was the common setup, and that would put us at 50 down the straights for 5 mins on under 500w.

    Those goals should be fine. In my club, we run our N2 Sport Hydro's, 2S up to 27" long on a club spec motor and prop of a Hobbystar 3660 4300kv and M440 prop. They run in the 45-50 mph range and most guys have something around a 120A ESC in them. My boat has an old T-180 ESC, runs two 2S packs in parallel, and runs around 48 mph. They're not even being pushed hard all on the same prop, but it makes for some great racing because we all have the same motor and prop!

    battery: 4s
    speed: 50mph
    ESC: flycolor 150A
