Default 1/12 Homestreet AKA Miss Bud

So this is what I have been working on this winter as time has permitted. I have 2 Miss Bud hulls. One is running in Miss Bud livery and the second was an unconverted hull with broken hatch. So I decided to build my own hatch addressing the water seal somewhat, and doing design changes as well. A bit of hull strengthening and aerodynamic changes as well as getting correct CG.

This is the start of the mould. And a comparison of the two

And a bit of the reinforcement that was done with 1mm CF, I also put a layer of cloth to beef up the floor. Also a 3? rigger motor mount with mods worked well up front

Love those side ribs. That hull definitely needs reinforcement. What are you going to run in it as far as kV and voltage?

My running one has a Castle 1512 2650kv in it and is real nice on 3s. A wobbly mess on 4s but I have a plan for that in aerodynamic area. This one is awaiting an afternoon for me to paint it so more updates are ready to post Ryan. You buying yours prompted me to do the thread

And on that note, I installed a foam bed for batteries to sit on in the sponson bottoms followed by a piece that wraps the front and outside areas to keep the packs in place within each sponson. Also a piece of CF was added for the turn fin bracket to be threaded into

And here is the complete plug and the first take

Here is my main change to aerodynamics based upon info from Mr Darin Jordan?s thread. The thought here is that too much air is getting pushed under the hull at speed there by causing the flutter effect in a straight line.

Plug turned out great. Interested to see how those leading edge extensions effect the ride quality. That would be an easy bolt on aero modification

As you can see from the one pic I had cut a couple pieces of hard foam to test on my Bud runner but water froze up on me. So I did the mod on this hull. But it took very little to carve the foam to fit and use double side tape to hold.

So I used this silicone Mold for the cowl
And because I opted for a flow thru cowl I glued and epoxied this paper separator in underneath. It may need touching up for waterproof C98FAC32-0326-4C4B-99B0-2F105F850104.jpg
And the hatch locks in in front and I made this body post work out back

Stuffing tube to be installed next. But I went out to the hobby shack and my heater appears to be dead. Investigation is required

So I swapped out the 2400 kv Fiedler motor to 2800kv Hacker, 3s2p for total of 6600mah
