I'd keep an eye out for a used boat in various classifieds.

There is one for sale here but it's not super cheap. But looks VERY nice and ready to go.

It?s fairly cheap to build a pvc airboat, there?s a Facebook site ?RC Rescue Boat DIY Airboat?
I?ve had a few different tugs and now mainly use a repowered Atlantic tug but wanted to try something different.
My version is big enough to rescue an 1/8th scale, and is waiting for the pond to thaw.

Build a Zippkits tug boat. https://zippkits.com/index.php?main_...f0b9f57a9e4f91

It's easy to build a floating hook system to drag behind the tow boat and retrieve just about any boat.

Watch how easy this is. Fast forward to 3:38:

Here is fairly inexpensive rescue boat build. It’s a simple pvc frame, with layered foam board glue together for the pontoons, and some simple electronics. Turned out pretty good. Here is a video of how my retrieval boats evolved.

My last DIY-project for mono and hydro. Extra cheap, around 50$
