i am building a 20 in outboard hydro with mini ose out board. i have a 90 amp esv i will be using as need the weight up front to balance. does this need to have water coolling for such a small motor . wont be doing long runs. thks Al

How hard are you going to be pushing the motor. I can't answer your question but I am sure the easier you go on it the better your chances of getting away with no cooling. You may just have to go trial and error, checking temperature as you add time, prop size and or cells.
Exactly what ESC does the OP have? That can matter as not all ESCs are rated accurately. What prop will he be using, the stock 32mm or the larger 36mm? What battery voltage and capacity is he using? More capacity means longer run times and more heat buildup.

i have 90amp hk esc 3s bat and 32mm prop.kind of a dumb question i know but cooling lines a pain because they come off of rear or motor
