    Default TP motors

Anyone running the TP 4070 motors ? Looking for some feed back on comparison to NEU motors.
Just got my 1530 back with new windings and 3 passes later at high rpm the rotor blows apart. Had many years on it so was bound to happen.
$430.00 for a new one on top of the 200.00 I just spent already!!!... or 190.00 for the TP version if they are close to the NEU motors for the money.
    Thanks

What type of RPM are you looking for?
Oval racing or just speed runs?
    Rigger, Cat, Sport Hydro, ECT?
    How many cells?

    I do run 4070 -2Y -2250KV - on 4S Sport Hydro
    A pair of 4060's - 6D - 1650KV - on 6S - twin Cat.
    A pair of 5670's - 6D - 1180KV - on 8S - twin Cat.

Im looking at a TP 4070 2200kv on 6s for speed runs in my PT 45.I need at least 46,000rpm on the water just like my NEU 2200 kv now so the 4070 2200 on paper should do the trick. Don't know how the torque is compared to the NEU motor but want everything to be the same as what I have...no more no less if possible or I will go back to the NEU again as I never used any other motor in any boat for 20 years LOL
NEU is real expensive these days...just like everything else !

You should take a look at this one from TP motors USA
Designed for high RPM, Quality, and performance.
According to all my results, on 6S this one should give you about 44,000.RPM under load.
    (2240KV X 6S (24V) =53760RPM - 18% = 44,000 RPM under load.

They also have a TP 4070-SVM 2940KV designed for (6S) and 73,000 RPM

TP does have a special 4080CM which is close to the Neu 1530: https://www.tppowerusa.com/index.php...product_id=582

    This a 2350kv motor.

A 4070 CM can at 2200kv will give a Neu 1530, 2200kv a run for its money every time. More weight with the 4080 can. Good choice w the 2240kv.
